A connected booking platform evolving since April 2016.
Since April 2016, eDesign—now AY—has supported Key Car Rental in developing and operating an integrated booking platform across the web and native mobile applications. Built around the company’s established enterprise systems, the platform connects vehicle availability, customer information, payments, bookings, loyalty benefits, and post-rental services within one continuously evolving digital journey.
Key Car Rental’s extensive branch network and continuously changing fleet availability called for a transactional platform closely connected to daily operations. The challenge was to create a consistent customer journey—from vehicle selection and booking to payment and account management—while exchanging accurate information with the company’s established enterprise systems, supporting location-specific rental requirements, and sustaining the platform as digital channels and infrastructure evolved.

Customers needed a connected journey across the website and mobile applications: selecting a rental location and vehicle, completing a booking and payment, and accessing their account information without moving between disconnected channels. Returning customers also needed consistent access to their details, booking history, invoices, loyalty benefits, and relevant post-rental information.
